I painted this scene in 2025 in Annapolis, MD during my fourth Paint Annapolis plein air competition. I usually aim to paint 3 paintings to enter into the gallery at the end of the week, but this time I was only able to finish 2 paintings. After grabbing a lobster roll for lunch, I found this mini "park" by the water and I decided to paint one more painting for fun. The clouds were rolling in and I was nervous it would start raining on me. The wind was intense and knocked some of my supplies over as I was painting.
