I painted this scene in 2020 in Annapolis, MD during my first Paint Annapolis plein air competition. This was my first time painting plein air, which means painting outside on location, and I loved the challenge. I've been on the fence about parting with this painting, but I painted a similar scene in 2022 in oil so I'm going to let this one go. This is one of my favorite paintings of all time and I loved focusing on a smaller boat when there were so many huge, grandiose sailboats around.
